A mischief call lead to a drug bust in Kelowna over the weekend.

RCMP responded to a mischief call on Friday at Rutland and McIntosh Roads around 7 p.m.

Constable Julie Rattee says police were unable to verify the mischief complaint, however, while investigating the call, they noticed a group of men in a nearby park with open liquor.

She says they decided to investigate further and found about a pound of marijuana in one man’s possession.

The 24-year-old Kelowna man was arrested and released on a promise to appear in court on August 25.
