RCMP are asking for the public's assistance following a fatal motorcycle accident in Westside on Canada Day.

The accident occurred at Highway 97 South and Glenrosa Road about 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Police say that the man was leaving the highway on a motorcycle, southbound at the Glenrosa interchange when he lost control and was thrown from the motorcycle. He died later at KGH.

Alcohol and speed are believed to be factors in the crash.
