Kelowna Councillor, Brian Given, has announced he will be seeking a fourth term.

Given, who was first elected in 1999, has had health issues in recent years.

In October of last year, Given underwent surgery to have a cancerous tumour removed from his bowel.

It was his second bout with cancer in the span of a year.

In October, 2006, Given had a tumour removed from his liver.

Given says he is feeling better and says he will be able to continue with a full council schedule if re-elected November 15.

He joins Michele Rule, Robert Hobson, Norm Letnick and Mayor Sharon Shepherd who have all indicated they will seek re-election.

The other four councillors, Andre Blanleil, Carol Gran, Colin Day and Barrie Clark have not publicly stated their intentions.
