He stole from the same store two days in a row.
A 42-year-old Westbank man is facing charges after allegedly shoplifting five bottles of Scotch from a store in Westbank over the weekend.
Constable Julie Rattee says on Friday, just before 6 p.m., a shoplifting complaint was called in by staff at the BC Liquor Store on Dobbin Road.
She says a man had fled from the store without paying for several bottles of liquor.
Rattee says the man was located and arrested on Highway 97 near Hudson Road after an officer found the bottles in his backpack.
The man has been identified as the suspect of a similar theft from the same store the previous day.
He has been remanded into custody and is expected to appear in court sometime Monday.
