Vernon RCMP are investigating an attempted B&E involving a firearm.

It happened just after 3 a.m. Sunday at a home on Alexis Park Drive.

Corporal Lilliane Frechette says a woman called police to report that someone was trying to break into her home.

“When police arrived they discovered a shotgun round had been discharged through a window and an attempt had been made to enter the residence. The resident was not injured,” says Frechette.

Police were unable to locate the suspect and no description is available.
