Food Bank April statistics

The Kelowna Food Bank gave away nearly 78,000 pounds of food in April and helped more than 2,000 people.
Some 415 families were helped by the KFB, including more than 600 children.
Carli Miles, KFB administrative assistant, says they also donated food to many other organizations.
In pounds of food some of the other charities they assisted include:
The Boys & Girls club…165 lbs
Freedom’s Door…315 lbs
Kelowna Drop In Centre…590 lbs
Now Canada…170 lbs
Werner’s Farms…1,600 lbs
Society of Hope…360 lbs
Women’s Centre…840 lbs
