If you have kept up with world health news lately, you may have heard that pharmaceutical companies may be planning to find a new market for Gardasil, the vaccine that has been approved to protect women against human papilloma viruses (HPV) which has been linked to cervical cancer in women.
Scientists now are linking lung cancer to common viruses, including one linked to cervical cancer they suggest that the HPV virus as well as the measles virus may also contribute to the development of the deadly disease. They have found evidence of the measles virus and HPV in samples of tissue taken from lung cancer patients, according to two early studies presented last week at the first European Lung Cancer Conference in Geneva, Switzerland.
Arash Rezazadeh, MD, and colleagues from the University of Louisville in Kentucky examined lung cancer tissue samples taken from 23 patients, all smokers. Six samples tested positive for HPV, although one case resulted from cervical cancer that spread to the lungs. The remaining five HPV-positive samples comprised the following strains: HPV-16, HPV-11, and HPV-22.
"The fact that five out of 22 non-small-cell lung cancer samples were HPV-positive supports the assumption that HPV contributes to the development of non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC)," the study authors say in a news release.
For the second study, Samuel Ariad of the Soroka Medical Center in Beer Sheva, Israel, examined tissue samples from 65 patients with non-small-cell lung cancer and found that more than half of the samples tested positive for the measles virus.
Regular readers of my column will know that in the past I have suggested that without exception I am convinced that most cancers are in all likelihood linked to viruses however, I do not think it is that simple when we start filling people full of vaccines in hope of a cure and think we have all the bases covered.
You can probably trace the following theories back several thousand years to circa 460BC, during the time of Hippocrates. Hippocrates now considered the father of modern day medicine believed even in those days that all illness was a result of imbalances in the body, which really is what these modern day scientists are telling us with all the “new” theories and findings. Even Louis Pasteur (1822-1895) a French chemist and microbiologist known for his breakthroughs in the cause and prevention of disease would have told you that it is the terrain the makes all the difference in disease not the actual virus or in his case, bacteria.
From a homeopathic perspective it is required that we understand more than just the cause of disease we need to understand an individuals susceptibility as well, which is an important point when considering the findings of the above mentioned studies. Smoking creates the perfect terrain for the viruses to survive in the lungs, just like garbage and raw sewage creates the perfect terrain for rats to thrive and spread disease there is no vaccine for that.
These new findings will undoubtedly be touted as a breakthrough and just like the plot of line of a dime store pulp fiction it will turn into to the predictable next step, market the same dangerous Gardasil vaccine for a new use this time under a new name-it is coming. While they are at it, they will resurrect the measles vaccine campaign because of these new findings.
It is an amazing tool, all this science we just have to understand that suppression with vaccines will end up not being the panacea we had hoped for in fact, it could cause more issues in the end such as new diseases, untreatable ones.
The health and disease question and answer game will be on going on long after we are all gone and probably as long as there is life on this planet.
