Kelowna captures Challenge Cup

A Kelowna team made up of 1996 born hockey players has captured the Interior Pride Challenge Cup held in Salmon Arm this past weekend.
Seven teams from the lower mainland, NW Washington state, Northern BC and the Okanagan competed in the three day tournament.
Kelowna made it to the semi-finals with a 3-1 record in round robin with their only loss coming at the hands of a select team from Seattle. They then met the same team in the semi-finals and beat them to advance to the finals and win convincingly 5-1 over a team comprised of players from northern BC.
The winning team consists of Trevor Pereverzoff, Justin Lange, Austin Lindsay, Ty Cridland, Anthony Ormiston, Dustin Ketzler, Clay Stephens, Kobe Oishi, Sam Bobyn, Reid Kilburn, Josh Johnston, Nathaniel Higgins, Jordon Coyne, Kenn Markewich, Colton Share and Joshua Blanchard. Coached by Kevin Lindsay and assisted by Dean Stephens and Brandie Cridland.
