A 19-year-old Penticton man is without his car and some cash after being robbed early Thursday morning.

The victim told police he had just drove into his laneway when an unidentified man approached his car and knocked on his window.

Police says the 19-year-old rolled down the window and the suspect male threatened him with a knife and got into the victim's car.

The victim was forced to drive to a nearby TD Bank drive-thru teller and withdraw a quantity of cash for the suspect, before being made to drive partway to Okanagan Falls on Eastside Road.

RCMP say the suspect made him turn around and drive back to Penticton. He forced the victim out of his vehicle at Skaha Marina and sped off northbound on South Main Street.

The vehicle is a 1996 green two-door Pontiac Sunfire.
