Recognition keeps coming in for a locally produced documentary about the marijuana industry.
"The Union: The Business Behind Getting High" took home two prestigious honours from the recently concluded Okanagan Film Festival.
The film, produced by Kelowna native Adam Scorgie, was judged Best Canadian Independent Documentary and was also named People's Choice Award Winner as voted on by movie-goers.
The critically acclaimed documentary has been entered in 33 international film festivals, winning seven awards, including:

BEST CANADIAN FEATURE DOCUMENTARY - NATIONAL FILM BOARD Award

The documentary has also been nominated for two Leo Awards, the B.C. film industry version of the Oscars.
"Union" has been nominated for 'Best Overall Sound and 'Best Sound Editing.'
The Leos will be handed out May 24 in Vancouver.
Scorgie says with the success of the film in Kelowna, talks are underway to have more screenings of the documentary at the Paramount Theatre.
