Sheds go up in smoke

A couple of storage sheds and its contents went up in smoke shortly before 7 p.m. Thursday in the 2800 block of Quesnel.

KFD says it's thought the fire was started by someone after neighbours reported seeing kids playing in the area.

The heat of the fire was enough to melt siding on the home.

Police tracked down four 11-year-old boys and determined they didn't mean to set the sheds on fire and that charges are not anticipated.

Total loss is estimated near $10,000.
