Rock blasting will continue for the next week at the south end of the Highway 97 road widening project just north of Summerland.

Blasting will result in 30 minute highway closures at 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

These closures are in effect from Friday, March 28 through Saturday, April 5, excluding Sunday's.

Arthon Contractors says blasts may occur Saturday's at 10 a.m., depending on drilling production.

A 30 minute closure will occur at 10 a.m. if that blasting does occur.
