More than 1,000 Fortis B.C. customers were without power Sunday night, including the Penticton airport.
High winds and weather conditions caused a power outage to residents and businesses in Westbench, Green Mountain Road, the Redwing Resort and the Penticton Airport.
Fortis manager of corporate communications, Aurora Bonin, says the outage lasted nearly four hours.
“The power went out just before midnight on Sunday and wasn’t restored until after 3:30 a.m. Monday,” says Bonin.
She says the outage was caused by damage done to a power feeder in Westbench.
