Another armed robbery has been committed by a pair of Caucasian men in the Okanagan.
Kelowna RCMP say two men entered the Subway Restaurant on Leckie Road in Kelowna just after 9:30 p.m. Sunday and demanded money.
Officials say the men produced a hand gun and made off with about $300.
The men are described as being between 20 and 30 years old, between 5’8” and 5’10” with medium builds. They were seen wearing dark clothing.
Staff Sergeant Julio Krentz says the two men are believed to be responsible for two other Okanagan robberies over the weekend.
“After showing the images from the other robberies to the employees at the Subway, we believe they were committed by the same pair. We brought the dog out Sunday night, and he found a scent for a time, but lost it near the Peacock Trailer Park,” says Krentrz.
On Friday, March 21, the Scotia Bank in Penticton was robbed by two Caucasian men. It is believed one produced a handgun before they fled with cash.
On Saturday, March 22, two Caucasian men robbed the Liquor Depot Store on Highway 97. Again, a handgun was produced and the men fled with cash and a bottle of liquor.
No injuries have been reported at any of the robberies.
