Police in the South Okanagan are searching for a pair of bank robbers.

The Scotia Bank on Main Street in Penticton was robbed Thursday morning.

Constable Ted Manchulenko says two men entered the bank just after 10:30 a.m.

“One displayed what was believed to be a handgun. They demanded money from the employee and obtained an undetermined amount from the teller,” says Manchulenko.

He says there were no injuries and investigators have obtained an initial description of the two men.

Surveillance video is being obtained and reviewed by investigators. Both men were Caucasian, in their 20's, both with slim builds, well dressed and well spoken.”

The men left the location in a vehicle stolen from a nearby business approximately one hour earlier.

The RCMP helicopter was called in to assist with the search but was unable to locate the suspects.
