A Lake Country man charged in a fatal hit-and-run incident last month will stay in jail until at least the end of this month.
Patrick Chagnon, 27, appeared in court Tuesday. He has a bail hearing set for March 31.
Chagnon was arrested February 27, following the death of 55-year-old Kelowna cyclist John Patrick Robinson at Highway 33 and Prior Road in Rutland.
The car that hit the cyclist was followed by witnesses and the alleged driver was arrested.
Chagnon faces charges of dangerous driving causing death, failing to remain at the scene, and driving while prohibited.
Robinson's death was Kelowna's third traffic fatality of the year.
