Residents on Vernon's Prospect Drive report no water this morning following a water main break overnight.

The City of Vernon has yet to issue any statement on the incident.

Meanwhile, the city is advising the public of two sanitary sewer main flushing projects that will require overnight work along portions of 28th Avenue and 41st Avenue this week.

Part of the project includes CCTV inspection of the underground infrastructure, which means work needs to be done when there is minimum flow moving through the sewer system.

On Thursday and Friday, crews will be flushing and conducting CCTV work on 41st Avenue between 30th and 32nd Streets, as well as on 28th Avenue between 30th and 32nd Streets.

The work is expected to take place between 1 and 7 a.m. each day.
