The title sponsor for the third annual YMCA Healthy Kids Day has been announced.

Interior Savings Credit Union will partner with the YMCA-YWCA for the event, scheduled to be held June 1.

Sharon Peterson, CEO YMCA-YWCA of the Central Okanagan, says Healthy Kids Day is designed to get kids and families excited about staying active, safe, connected and healthy.

“Increasing physical activity is just one part of being healthier. At YMCA Healthy Kids Day, families can learn together about healthy habits in a playful and interactive festival setting that includes nutrition, environmental health, social supports, career exploration, personal health and safety,” says Peterson.

She says the event is a fun, free family celebration of healthy living with entertainment, sports, games and swimming, nutritional BBQ and snacks, and educational resources.
