The North End Residents Association (NERA) is inviting all residents, especially those from the North End, to participate in the creation of a unique public art project.

The project, named the Martin Avenue Mosaic Bench, will consist of three artist designed benches with a series of two inch tiles decorated by the public.

A series of one-hour tile painting sessions will be held on Friday, June 22 and Saturday, June 23 at the Martin Avenue Community Centre located at 1434 Graham Street.

The project will also be documented by film and journal to reflect the collaborative and community-building creative process.

The new benches along with trees, will be placed in the grounds of the Martin Avenue Community Centre this fall.
