Sporting a new 'do during Tuesday's daily press conference, Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry assured viewers that she hadn't gone to a hairdresser.

Last month. Dr. Henry issued a provincial health officer order that closed all “personal services establishments,” including salons, spas, massage parlours and tattoo shops.

Pointing out her new haircut Tuesday, Dr. Henry assured the public that she hadn't violated the order herself.

“They say the number one thing not to do in a pandemic is your own hair and I will say, 'believe them,'” she said. “My apologies to Lindsay, my hairdresser, but I did do some of my own tinkering with my hair in the last couple of days.”

Laughing, she added that she hoped her hair would “settle down soon.”
