Darryl Reuter got a fire-breathing unicorn tattoo for charity

Got inked for raising $10k

A bet's a bet.

Darryl Reuter challenged the community to help him raise $10,000 raised towards Motion Ball, a charity benefiting the Canadian Special Olympics, he would, in exchange, get 10” x 10” tattoo of his team’s mascot on his back.

The name of his team - The Fire-Breathing Unicorns.

Darryl says, “seeing the amazing athletes and their gratefulness, and all the amazing organizers and all the work they put in, compelled me to swing for the fences this year.”

Darryl and the community helped surpass his original goal handily, finishing with a $15,777 for the cause.

Hearing this, David Allen, Owner and Tattooist of Third Son Tattoo, wanted to get involved, and so he has volunteered his time and artistic ability. David will be making Darryl’s bet a reality by permanently marking a realistic fire-breathing unicorn onto Darryl’s back.

The tattoo session was on Oct. 16, and the whole process was to live-streamed. The tattoo has been completed but Darryl wants the tattoo to heal before showcasing the masterpiece.
