A month long investigation leads to a big RCMP drug seizure

6 pounds of drugs busted

Vernon RCMP finished their month-long investigation in suppliers of drugs to trafficking houses and dealers in Vernon, Enderby and Revelstoke.

The investigation started on Oct 9 when they arrested two people meeting at a vehicle on Long Acre drive in Vernon.

A 35 year old Vernon woman and a 25 year old man from Lower Mainland were both arrested and RCMP seized fentanyl, cocaine and some cash.

Right after that, a search warrant was carried out at the 4900 block of Old Kamloops Road in Vernon where two people were arrested.

A 26 year old man and a 24 year old woman were the suspects, both from Alberta and were new to the area.

The warrant led to the police finding fentanyl, cocaine, meth and cash.

The next day, the police raided a condo unit in the 7300 block of Okanagan Landing Road which had a connection to one of the arrested men.

That raid resulted in more meth, fentanyl, cocaine and cash.

In total, over $30,000 was seized and a combined six pounds of fentanyl, coke and meth.

"Investigators worked hard to identify those believed to be responsible for supplying drugs to several dealers and locations," said Sgt David Evans of Targeted Policing. "This type of enforcement is part of our commitment to targeting drug trafficking at all levels in the community."

All four of those arrested have been released with conditions, and will have future dates in Vernon Provincial Court.
