Vees continue hot start

The Penticton Vees’ hot start to the season continued Sunday afternoon, with a 4-3 win over the Clippers in Nanaimo.

The Vees were helped by two third period goals, including a pair from Danny Weight to lift them to their sixth-straight win to start the season.

The Vees opened scoring just 44 seconds into the game, wth Tristan Amonte scoring the first for the second consecutive game. Carson Kosobud rounded out scoring for Penticton, which heavily outshot the Clippers 39-18.

The undefeated Vees will come home for the first time this season to host the West Kelowna Warriors (1-5-1-0) in their home opener presented by Telus. Puck drop at the South Okanagan Events Centre is set for 7:00 p.m. with single game tickets going on sale Monday, September 23 at 10:00 a.m. at the SOEC Box Office.
