Police in Victoria are investigating a crash believed to be caused by an overdose behind the wheel.
CTV News reports officers were called to the two-car crash Tuesday afternoon, arriving to find an injured man being treated by an off-duty doctor.
Paramedics began to notice signs of opioid overdose, and hit the driver with a dose of naloxone, causing him to regain consciousness.
"He was unconscious and in potentially life-threatening condition," Victoria police said in a news release.
No charges have been approved at this point, but an investigation remains underway. Witnesses have been asked to come forward.
