Rockets get NHL call

Kelowna Rockets defenceman Jake Lee has been added to the San Jose Sharks 2019 Anaheim rookie tournament roster.

The four-day tournament takes place Sept. 7-10, in Irvine, Calif.

Lee's teammate Dillon Hamaliuk will also attend the tournament. Hamaliuk was drafted 55th overall by the Sharks during the 2019 NHL draft.

The pair could face-off against fellow Rocket Kaeden Korczak as the Sharks face the Vegas Golden Knights, as well as the Los Angeles Kings, Anaheim Ducks, Colorado Avalanche and the Arizona Coyotes.

Each team will be playing three games during the tournament.

The Sharks are facing the Coyotes on Sept. 7, the Ducks on Sept. 8 and the Kings on Sept. 10.

The NHL has also invited Rocket players Kyle Topping and Leif Mattson to the Carolina Hurricanes roster for the 2019 NHL Prospects Showcase.

This also takes place Sept. 7-10 in Nashville.

Nolan Foote is also attending the tournament with the Tampa Bay Lightning.
