Overexposed at beach

Kelowna RCMP are asking for the public's help as they investigate reports of a man exposing himself at Rotary Beach on Monday.

RCMP Cpl. Jesse O'Donaghey tells Castanet the incident allegedly happened about 3:30 p.m.

"Police responded to the area and spoke with a number of individuals, and identified the subject of their complaint," says O'Donaghey.

RCMP detained the man but did not arrest him and have told Castanet that no charges are being considered at this time.

A post on social media identifies the individual and the woman who made the post indicates the man exposed himself to her children and others at the beach. The woman says "police were notified and came and dealt with him and took his info, so be on the lookout at local beaches and parks."

Anyone with any additional information is asked to contact Kelowna RCMP and cite file #2019-51747.
