The Penticton Fire Department pounced on a grassfire Tuesday afternoon near the Carmi substation.
Fire crews were called for a report of a 10-foot-square grassfire at shortly after 4:30 p.m.
Firefighters arrived to find the small fire burning below the power lines leading to the substation and quickly extinguished it.
The fire was out and in mop-up stage by 5 p.m.
No word at this point on the cause of the blaze.
