Tickets go on sale Monday for John Denver's Rocky Mountain High Christmas concert in Kelowna
Denver's music will be performed Nov. 28, 29 and 30 at Kelowna Community Theatre.
The late singer's award winning arranger/conductor Lee Holdridge returns to conduct the Okanagan Symphony Orchestra, Rick and Steve Worrall, an all-star band and guests Melina Schein, Dustin Moore and Gwen Plitt with the RMH Youth Choir, in the kick off to the holiday season.
Sing along to Denver's hits Annie’s Song, Country Roads as well as some of his best known Christmas songs from Rocky Mountain Christmas and The Muppet Christmas special.
The fundraising concerts support the Boys and Girls Club of the Okanagan and the Central Okanagan Food Bank, with a portion of every ticket sold going to help their Christmas campaigns.
Tickets go on sale Aug. 19 at 10 a.m.
Fans are also invited to attend the Canadian premiere of the award winning documentary The Great Voices Sing John Denver, Nov. 27 at the theatre.
This film features some of the world’s best known opera stars. Following the screening, there will be a Q&A with Holdridge, producer Kenneth Shapiro, and executive producer Elisa Justice.
Tickets for that event are by a minimum $20 donation.
