The heat is coming

Now, this is more like it.

The slow start to our Okanagan summer is about to heat up - literally.

After a few weeks of wet conditions and temperatures in the 20s, it's about to get sunny and hot.

We can expect mainly sunny conditions through much of next week beginning Saturday.

Temperatures are forecast to inch upwards, hitting 25C Saturday before nudging 30C and beyond beginning Sunday.

To date, there have been only two days where temperatures have hit 30C in July, Canada Day and the 9th. In contrast, there were nine in 2018 and 13 in 2017 by this point in July.

Nearly 35 millimetres of rain has already fallen this month.
