After five people were arrested for an alleged kidnapping in Kelowna last February, a warrant has been issued for another of the accused, for not showing up to court.

After failing to appear in court on an unrelated charge, Monday, a warrant was issued for Nicole Sidhu, one of the five people arrested on March 1.

The kidnapping-related charges date back to Feb. 27, when a man was dropped off at Kelowna General Hospital suffering from serious injuries. Police said the man had gone to a home to buy drugs, when he was kidnapped, assaulted and held against his will for three days.

Clayton Zeleniski, 48, Dalton Zeleniski, 18, Shane Haines, 32, Timothy Hennessy, 37, and Sidhu, 24, were all arrested in connection to the incident, and all five face various charges. By mid-March, all five had been released on bail.

Since their release, all but Clayton Zeleniski have been charged with breaching their bail conditions.

In late April, a warrant was issued for Haines after he failed to appear in court, but he was later found and arrested a couple of weeks later. He now faces two additional breach of bail charges and remains in custody. He's scheduled to plead guilty to the breach charges later this month.

Dalton Zeleniski was convicted in May of breaching his bail conditions on April 24, and on July 4, Hennessy pleaded guilty to breaching his bail conditions on April 4. Both remain out of custody on bail.

Sidhu, meanwhile, has been charged with breaching her bail conditions on three separate occasions since her arrest on March 1.

These charges are in addition to the robbery and unlawful confinement charges she faces from the alleged February kidnapping incident.

Clayton Zeleniski, charged with kidnapping, robbery, unlawful confinement and assault causing bodily harm, remains out of custody on bail.

A preliminary inquiry for unlawful confinement and assault charges is set for Haines and Hennessy in December.
