A driver is believed to have caused damage to a bridge and fence near Ellison Elementary School overnight on Saturday. 

A concerned resident contacted Castanet on Sunday morning saying a pickup truck had driven through a fence at the school.

“The city will be onsite soon as the truck crashed into the bridge then took out the railings and school signs before crashing into the elementary school,” he recalls. 

Another witness contacted Castanet just before midnight saying the incident just unfolded and police were on scene. 

Broken pieces from the railing on the bridge remain at the scene on Sunday and a fence outside the school is mangled. 

Castanet has reached out to RCMP for details on what led to the damage and crash.
