A Victoria woman is in intensive care after getting hit by a car — twice — by her friend.

Lynn Phillips was on vacation on June 13 when a driver hit her and then "in the panic," backed up and ran her over again, CTV News reported.

"She was run over not once, but twice," said Paul Ke, a friend who is leading a fundraising effort for Phillips.

Phillips list of injuries is extensive: collapsed lungs, broken ribs, fractured collarbone, broken arm and internal bleeding.

Ke started a GoFundMe campaign after the incident.

"The financial bit will give her some stress relief, if you will. But more importantly, it will allow her and her family to focus on her care and her recovery," Ke said.
