More snow on Connector

We may be on the verge of the official start of summer, but Thursday was the second day in a row of snow on the Okanagan Connector.

DriveBC's Pennask Summit webcam shows wet snow on the sides of the highway and in the median.

Environment Canada tweeted this afternoon that a cool airmass is bringing snow to the area. Showers and flurries are expected to end this evening. 

Castanet's Miriam Severin, on her way to the Coast, says she encountered snow between West Kelowna and Merritt, but that it turned to rain once beyond Merritt.

Environment Canada issued a special weather statement Wednesday, warning of "unseasonable snowfall" on the highway.
