DriveBC reports the crash scene has been cleared and Highway 1 was reopened west of Ashcroft at 6:15 p.m.

DriveBC reports a detour remains in effect five kilometres west of Ashcroft on Highway 1

There is single-lane, alternating traffic. Expect delays of 15 to 20 minutes.

The Trans-Canada Highway is closed in both directions Tuesday morning following a vehicle incident just west of Ashcroft.

DriveBC is reporting the highway will remain closed for the next three hours and a detour is available via Highway 1 at Kamloops, Highway 5 and Highway 8  Spences Bridge to Merritt.

The highway is expected to reopen by 11 a.m.
