Arrest made in raid

UPDATE: 3 p.m.

RCMP have confirmed a 34-year-old man is in custody after police raided a home in the 1000 block of Lawson Avenue late Friday morning.

Cpl. Jesse O'Donaghey says the Emergency Response Team was called in to support the RCMP's drug section in executing the search warrant.

"The execution of the warrant, to search the Lawson Avenue residence, prompted the temporary disruption of traffic along Gordon Drive for police and public safety," said O’Donaghey

"The RCMP Emergency Response Team’s armoured vehicle was used and a man was taken into police custody without incident at the scene."

Investigators remain at the scene.

The Kelowna man faces potential charges and remains in police custody.
