Elections PEI says it has temporarily suspended voting at one polling location due to an unspecified threat.
The organization did not offer further details other than to say it posed a threat to voters and staff at the Assumption Parish Centre.
Voters are turning out across the island to cast votes in a provincial election today.
The RCMP is currently on site at the polling station blocking the entrance.
