CRIME:           BREAK AND ENTER TO STORAGE FACILITY

DATE:             April 17, 2019

RCMP FILE:   2019-20692

Staff from a storage yard located on Stevens Road in West Kelowna contacted RCMP on the morning of April 17th to report an overnight break and enter.   Thieves entered the compound by cutting holes in the north side of the fence.  Dark video surveillance shows three males inside the yard at 9:45 p.m. and staying for 3 hours.  Once inside they pried open storage compartments of at least 7 RV units and made full entrance into at least two.  Besides a Coleman stove, it is unknown what was stolen.  The men left in a pickup truck parked on a trail between Westside Road and Stevens Road.

CRIME:          THEFT OF SUV

DATE:            April 13, 2019

RCMP FILE:  2019-19858

A white 2018 Mazda CX9 with BC plate number FV966C and VIN JM3TCBCY4J0219022 was stolen from a driveway on Vineyard View Drive in West Kelowna in the early morning hours of April 13, 2019.  Another car in the driveway had been rifled through, and investigators believe thieves used a garage door opener to gain entrance to the house to steal the keys for the Mazda.
