Water outage on Crawford

Crews with Emil Anderson Construction doing work in Kelowna's Upper Mission hit a major water line, Monday, causing a water outage to about 250 residents in the Crawford area.

Construction was taking place on Stewart Road West at the time of the incident.

City and Emil Anderson crews are on site, working to bring service back to the Crawford reservoir by the end of the day.

Those residents in the area who still have water service are asked to fill their tubs, water jugs or basins with enough water to last several hours.

Those requiring urgent water can visit the Canyon View Court cul-de-sac for bottles of clean drinking water at no cost.

Once service has been restored, a temporary and precautionary boil-water notice will be issued due to possible sediment disturbance in the system.
