Munday is people's choice

The people have spoken, and they love Munday Media & Design.

The Oliver business won the premier’s people choice award on Thursday night during the 16th annual Small Business BC Awards Gala at Vancouver Convention Centre. The ceremony honoured the top B.C. businesses with fewer than 50 employees as well as the communities that best supported entrepreneurship.

Munday’s victory was on one of 10 major categories, and it was the only Okanagan business to bring home some hardware. More than 600 small businesses from 58 communities were nominated in the 10 categories.

Two other Okanagan businesses were nominated. Grindrod’s Okanagan RAWSOME was a finalist for the best community impact award, while MQN Architecture and Interior Design in Vernon was up for best employer.

Aside from the glory of being one of the province’s best, the winning businesses receive the premier's prize in the amount of $1,500 cash, and a one-year all-access pass to Small Business BC education and experts.
