Habitat needs homeowners

Habitat for Humanity Okanagan is looking for 12 families who want townhomes to call their own in Lake Country.

The non-profit housing organization will be conducting an information event Saturday morning for those wondering if they qualify for a Habitat home, which will require no money down and zero interest payments.

The session will take place between 9 and 10 a.m. at George Elliot Secondary School, and will provide more details about qualifications and the application process.

Habitat is looking for families with children who are in need of affordable housing, who have lived in the Okanagan for at least two consecutive years and who have at least one member working at a full-time job.

You can register for the event on Habitat’s Facebook or Eventbrite pages.
