Horvath: sketch 30 years on

It's been almost 30 years since Charles Horvath was last seen in Kelowna.

He was 20 years old at the time.

Since he went missing in May 1989, his mother, Denise Horvath Allan, has been relentlessly searching for Charles. She lives in England, but has taken several trips over the years to Kelowna, in an attempt to find answers to her son's disappearance.

Recently, a forensic artist from Toronto created a sketch of what she believes Charles would look like today, based off a photo of him from 30 years ago.

“(Denise) is alone in her search for her son, and that breaks my heart, so I did the age progression as a gift for her of her only son,” artist Diana Trepkov said.

“Since i live in Canada, I had told her I am going to help as much as I can to get this story out here in Canada.”

Trepkov has created more than 200 age-progression drawings for cold case files.
