There mystery of the loud bang heard over Armstrong this week has not been solved.

The mystery of the big bang has yet to be solved.

Social media has been abuzz for the past couple days over a large boom that was heard in the North Okanagan.

Residents in Armstrong and Spallumcheen reported hearing the loud bang Sunday morning, but there is still no explanation as to what caused it.

The bang has been a hot topic on the Armstrong Community Forum for days with different theories as to what the big bang was.

One person posted: I heard it was a sonic boom but not sure what caused it.

Speculated another, I heard it was a meteor on another forum.

Armstrong/Spallumcheen Fire Chief Ian Cummings said the fire department was not notified nor has any of the firefighters mentioned it.
