In a Christmas tradition dating back years, the commanding officer of the 1705 Royal Canadian Army Cadet Corps BC Dragoons traded places with the newest member of the unit.
The annual mess dinner saw Cadet Ford Race don the captains pips and assume command of the unit – at least in spirit.
Race addressed his fellow cadets, officers and their parents as the new 'captain.'
Tuesday training nights will begin again in the new year and recruits are always welcome.
