Vipers bump slump in OT

The Vernon Vipers bumped a three-game losing streak beating Trail 3-2 in overtime. 

The Vipers jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first period with goals from Elan Bar lev wise and Teddy Wooding. 

In front of their home fans, the Smoke Eaters clawed there way back with goals of their own in the second and third periods. 

Tied at two, the game went to overtime where Mitch Andres scored his first goal of the season at the 1:04 mark, assisted by Bar lev wise.

The Viper's Mitch Andres was the game's first star followed by Jimmy Darby of Trail and the games third start was Teddy Wooding of the Vipers. 

Newly acquired Bradley Cooper got his first win as a Viper stopping 22 of 24 shots he faced.  

The win gives the Vipers a slim two-point cushion over the Smoke Eaters for last in the Interior Division.

Up next for the Vipers, a home game against the Cowichan Valley Capitals on Friday night.
