Looking for crash answers

Kelowna resident Diana Munro is pleading for the public's help after her car was hit by a semi, causing substantial damage.

And to make matters worse, ICBC says both parties are at equal fault because there were no witnesses.

Munro was driving down Dobbin Road at Highway 97 in West Kelowna on Oct. 18 when she says the semi pulled into her lane, side-swiping her car.

"I was in his blind spot, but that isn't my responsibility. I'm just really saddened that nobody stopped and gave a statement to police. My car is completely totalled, and ICBC says it was 50/50 – but it's not," Munro said.

The big rig shoved the car off the road, leaving lug nuts and a hub from the wheel scattered across the street.

Munro said RCMP attended the scene and took down both drivers' stories, but they didn't match up.

The semi had minor damage; Munro says her exterior is a write-off.
