The Penticton Vees cruised to a 6 -1 victory over the Surrey Eagles Wednesday night at the South Okanagan Events Centre in front of an announced crowd of 2,851 fans.
The Vees jumped out to an early lead with a goal from Massimo Rizzo just 2:19 into the game and never looked back.
Penticton went up 6-0 with following goals from Cole Shepard, Ryan Sandelin, David Silye, Jackson Niedermayer and James Miller before the Eagles answered with a lone goal 12:58 into the third frame.
In all, Penticton outshot the Eagles 38-21 in a game that never looked in doubt.
Penticton now hits the road for four straight games beginning Friday night against the Coquitlam Express. The Express have lost their last four games, giving up 25 goals in the process. Penticton hosted Coquitlam October 24, dropping a 3-2 shootout decision.
