The public is invited to get a close up look at military life Saturday during the B.C. Dragoon open house.

The reserve military unit will be showing the equipment and vehicle they use as well as information on the day-to-day operations of the regiment and the training it offers.

The open house is being held in Building E-20 on Hook Road, off of the highway across from the former Vernon Visitors Centre building.

British Columbia Dragoons are currently recruiting for both non-commissioned (troops) and commissioned (officers) members.

The origins of the British Columbia Dragoons date back to the formation of the Okanagan Mounted Rifles in April 1908.
