Bear the goat is missing

A five-month old goat has been missing for four days and his family is very worried.

The goat’s name is Bear and he lives at a farm off Findlay Road in Rutland.

“Bear was the smallest one, everyone knows Bear… it is really hard,” said his owner Stephanie Martin. “He is a very special little goat.”

She went to check on Bear Saturday morning, but he was nowhere to be found.

“I called him all day, even on Sunday,” she said. “He is so attached to me that if he hears me he comes running because I am his mom.”

Martin says she last saw Bear on Friday night and made sure he was in his pen.

“For him not to come is rare and all the other goats are here,” she said. “Everyone is here except for Bear and it is so heartbreaking for me.”

She hopes that someone might have just picked him up and will return Bear to his home.

If anyone thinks they have seen Bear Martin has asked they contact her at 250-317-8016.
