Stock up on nuts this winter

The annual dried fruit, confectionery and nut sale comes to Vernon this Friday and Saturday.

Rancho Vignola is known for importing fresh products, for purchase by individuals, families, fundraising organizations and retail stores.

The Armstrong-based family owned operation is dedicated to providing the public “fresh from harvest” products and is fully committed to sustainable agriculture and fair trade practices, according to the Rancho Vignola website.

Hazelnuts and cranberries are two of their most locally sourced products.

All products will be on display and every shopper has the chance to taste each item before purchasing.

The sale will feature live demos, a prize draw and free samples.

The free event takes place at the Vernon Recreation Centre on Nov. 16, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Nov. 17, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The sale will also take place at the Penticton Trade & Convention Centre on Nov. 16, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Nov. 17, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Kelowna residents have to wait to get their goodies until Nov. 24 and 25 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the Parkinson Recreation Centre.
