An injured hiker was rescued from a trail on Vancouver's North Shore over the weekend.

The woman in her sixties was brought off Dog Mountain, in the Mount Seymour area, by North Vancouver firefighters, after she injured her ankle.

The fire department reminds that conditions can be slippery and change quickly this time of year. Hikers should not travel alone, and should stay on trails.
